Lets talk about forgiveness because without it we are doomed to fail, and we were not created to fail but to be a conqueror. Have you ever told someone I will never forgive you? If you have- I want you to not only forgive them, but I want you to ask God to forgive you. When you do not forgive someone who has wronged you- what you are doing is holding yourself hostage. The person that you are mad at- most likely have not given you another thought. They are living their lives and you are in bondage because of your bitterness, hatred, or down right anger. Now don't get me wrong in God's word he states it is okay to be angry but sin not. Do you realize that when you do not forgive you are doing just that- sinning. In Matthew 6:14-15 it states, 14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
I know it is not easy to forgive people that have wronged you, but again you're not hurting them you're hurting yourself. Ladies I am not just speaking to you believe me I am speaking to myself as well. You know we all have people right in our own families that have said things, done things that we just felt were unforgivable. Well in your own power you may be right but you must call out to God and just tell him the truth. I will admit I have told God before if you don't show me how to forgive my sister Lord than I am not going to be able to do it.
She had did something that hurt me so deeply and because she is my sister by blood, I felt that if she loved me how could she do this to her own sister. And you better believe I asked God the very same question. I loved when he responded in his word by allowing me to read...The one that does my Father's will is my mother. You can substitute the word mother with sister, brother, friend and etc... In other words, my sister may have the same birth parents as I do but that is not what makes us family. Jesus said what makes us family is doing the will of his Father in heaven. And remember the devil has to use somebody, I am not calling my sister the devil but she was certainly not doing the will of the Father. Ladies do you have friends that you are so close to that you consider them family? If you do than you should remember we are all sinners saved by grace****we are flawed human beings. Just remember don't be so quick to dismiss people from your life because they have hurt you, or perhaps they hurt someone you love.
If they have been allowed to enter into your life it was on purpose because with God there are no such things as coincidence, chance, or luck. Also ladies I gave you the example above of my sister because I have five sister's and if they are reading this they have no idea which one I am speaking of lol. However, let me not sugar coat my own wrong doings either, I am sure I have hurt my sister's in one way or another but I pray that I will be quick to ask for forgiveness.
Can you imagine God not forgiving you- I know I could not handle that. Who would we cry out to, who would we pray to, or just talk to? There is so much in the word of God about forgiveness, but I want you ladies to take the time to study the word for yourself. If there is anyone in this world that you need to ask for their forgiveness, there is not time like the present because tomorrow is not promised. However, I must leave you with one more scripture about forgiveness from Mark 11:25, 25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.
Better yet let me give you the greatest example of forgiveness that all man have received that we did not deserve. Luke 23:34 states, 34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”[f] And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice
Jesus we ask that you FORGIVE US, but we thank you for giving you life, for no man could have taken it, but you gave it freely in order to save us.
