This morning while I was praying I asked God to make sure that I never turned this blog into being about something other than him and his plan for all of us. It’s hard not to get wrapped up in self especially when you’re so excited and people are open to hearing what you have to say, but always remember that is your opportunity to share God’s goodness with someone else! I also cried out to God and asked him why he entrusted me with this blog. The woman that was just putting everything except God first, the woman that wasn’t being a good example to her husband and others around her, the woman that had forgotten to fully trust and commit her life to him. He told me that’s why he entrusted me. It’s easier for someone who felt broken and is finally starting to heal to reach out to others who are broken. Thank you God for entrusting me! Please continue to give me the strength, courage and words during this time.
God’s Word
Today God led me to study Proverbs 3:13-18 which reads “Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding, for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold. She is more precious than jewels; nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left, riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant, and all her paths, peaceful. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.”
After reading this I honestly felt like that message was for ALL of us! We want to be women of wisdom! Like I said yesterday, if we know God’s word we can use it to help others. If we seek more understanding of his word then we will study it more, which will lead to wisdom! Then God said we would be more profitable than silver, more precious than jewels… long life will be in our right hand, and riches and honor in our left. We will have a peaceful life and we will be a tree of LIFE to those we speak to. I believe that we would be a tree of life for them because they would be reborn again when they turn away from their previous way of living and start living for God. Putting him FIRST in everything that they do! Those around us will seek him more and they will find true happiness!
My prayer before I write anything or talk to anyone is that they would hear God in me and see a light that shines off of me and that light would be God. Thank you to those of you who have embraced me and God’s plan for me. Please continue to pray for me and God’s plan for me.
As I said in last night’s post, if you would like to be a part of WAGH (A Woman After God’s Own Heart) please pray about it first and ask God what you can contribute and then get back to me! J
Please continue to spread the word about this blog so that we can have a bigger group of women to support one another!
Please take this scripture with you today and ask God to help you do this… James 1:19-21 “My dearly loved brothers, understand this: everyone must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for man’s anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness. Therefore, riding yourselves of all moral filth and evil excess, humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save you.”
Stay encouraged, inspired and motivated today and help someone else do the same. J
I love all of you ladies! Thanks for your love and support! Comments and feedback are GREATLY appreciated! :)
